In 4-quart saucepot, melt Shedd's Spread Country Crock® Spread over medium heat and cook onion, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until tender. With wire whisk, whisk in flour and cook, stirring frequently, 2 minutes. Whisk in 1/2 cup broth and cook until thickened. Gradually whisk in remaining broth until smooth. Whisk in milk. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, 2 minutes. Stir in broccoli and return to a boil. Remove from heat, then stir in cheese and pepper. Let stand covered 2 minutes. Stir until smooth.
