Instructions

  1. Preheat the airfryer to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the Country Crock Plant Butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt to the melted plant butter. Stir to combine.
  4. Add the diced apples and lemon juice and stir until well coated. Cook the mixture over medium heat for 10-15 minutes or until the apples are slightly softened.
  5. Remove the pan and let the mixture cool to room temperature.
  6. While the mixture cools, roll out the pie dough and use the bunny-shaped cookie cutter to cut a bottom and top layer for the hand pies.
  7. Add filling to the bottom layer of dough, then brush the edges with egg wash. Add the top layer before using a fork to crimp the dough together on the edges.
  8. Brush more egg wash over the prepared pies and sprinkle with sugar. Place in the air fryer basket, ensuring the pies are not touching.
  9. Air fry for 8 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Remove and enjoy!
