Holiday Roasted Turkey

Ingredients:

  • 10 lbs. fresh whole turkey or frozen thawed whole turkey
  • 1/2 cup Country Crock® Spread
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. dried rosemary leaves
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. grated lemon peel
  • 3/4 tsp. ground black pepper

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°. Remove giblets from turkey cavity and rinse turkey inside and out; pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Microwave remaining ingredients in small microwave-safe bowl at HIGH 10 seconds or until Spread is melted; stir. Starting at cavity opening, gently loosen skin on turkey and evenly spread 1/2 of the mixture under skin, then spread remaining over outside of turkey.
  3. Arrange turkey breast side up in large roasting pan with rack. Roast 15 minutes. Decrease oven to 350° and roast an additional 2 hours or until meat thermometer inserted in thickest part of the thigh reaches 165°. Let stand covered loosely with aluminum foil 20 minutes before carving.
