Yellow Butter Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Country Crock® Buttery Sticks
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/4 cups whole milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°. Grease and flour 13 x 9-inch baking pan and line bottom with parchment or wax paper; set aside.
  2. Beat Country Crock® Buttery Sticks and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer, scraping sides of bowl occasionally, until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes, .
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then beat until very pale and creamy, about 2 minutes.
  4. With mixer on low speed, beat in flour, baking powder and salt, then gradually beat in milk and vanilla until blended. Beat on high 3 minutes, scraping sides of bowl occasionally. Evenly spread into prepared pan.
  5. Bake 45 minutes or until golden and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  6. Cool 15 minutes on wire rack; remove from pan and remove parchment paper; cool completely.
