Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup Country Crock® Baking Sticks
  • 2/3 cup water
  • Oil for frying
  • 3 Tbsp. honey
  • 4 tsp. ground cinnamon

Directions:

  1. In large bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. With pastry blender or two knives, cut in Country Crock® Baking Sticks until mixture is the size of fine crumbs. Stir in water until dough forms. Shape into a flat circle, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
  2. On floured surface with floured rolling pin, roll out dough to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut into 2 to 3-inch squares; lift onto parchment or waxed paper lined baking sheet. Set aside.
  3. In 4-quart saucepan, heat oil to 375°F. Fry dough, a few pieces at a time, until golden, turning once. Drain on paper towels. Arrange on serving platter and drizzle with honey and sprinkle with cinnamon.
