Country Crock Buttery Compound Caramelized Onion Spread

  • 1/2 cup PLUS 2 Tbsp. Country Crock® Spread
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 tsp. chopped fresh thyme leaves


  1. Melt 2 tablespoons Country Crock® Spread in large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add onions and cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until tender and golden, about 15 minutes. Let cool.
  2. Combine remaining Spread, caramelized onions and thyme in medium bowl. Spoon mixture into small cup. Cover and refrigerate up to 1 week.

TIP: Delicious on grilled hamburgers, steak, chicken or pork chops or tossed with sautéed mushrooms or green beans. Also great stirred into mashed potatoes!
