1/2 cup Country Crock® Original Spread
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup heavy cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon kosher salt
In a heavy bottomed pan, preferably stainless steel, melt the Country Crock Original Spread over medium heat, and add brown sugar.
Using a rubber spatula, stir the mixture for 3-5 minutes, until the sugar dissolves and looks caramelized.
Add and mix in the heavy cream and salt, and bring to a boil.
Turn the heat on low and continue cooking for about 2-4 minutes, until the sauce has thickened and looks uniform.
Take the sauce off the heat, mix in the vanilla extract.
Transfer to a heatproof bowl and cool to room temperature.
Once cooled to room temperature, it’s ready to go! Use as topping for your favorite ice cream!
