Maple Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Crispy Bacon

Ingredients

  • 8 slices bacon, chopped
  • 2 lbs (about 900 g) Brussel Sprouts trimmed and halved
  • ½ cup (125 mL) Country Crock® Original Spread, melted
  • 1 teaspoon (5 mL) salt
  • 1 teaspoon (5 mL) fresh ground pepper
  • ¼ cup (60 mL) Maple syrup

      Instructions

      1. In a large cast iron skillet, cook the bacon over medium-high heat until crispy. About 6-8 minutes. Remove the bacon from the skillet and drain on a paper towel lined plate. Set aside.
      2. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
      3. In a large bowl add the prepared brussel sprouts, melted Country Crock® Original Spread, salt and pepper. Toss with a spoon to ensure the brussel sprouts are evenly coated. Lay the brussel sprouts out on a baking sheet. Drizzle with maple syrup and bake for 20 – 25 minutes.
      4. Remove from the oven. Add the cooked bacon and stir to combine. Serve immediately and enjoy.
