  • Prep time5 min
  • Cooking time10 min
  • Portions 4

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Country Crock® Original Spread
  • 8 large slices multigrain country bread
  • 12 slices smoked turkey (about 14 ounces)
  • 1 pear, thinly sliced
  • 8 ounces Gouda, sliced (about 8 to 12 slices)
  • 4 handfuls baby arugula, from a 5-ounce pacakge
  • black pepper

      Instructions

      1. Spread 1/2 tablespoon of Country Crock on each slice of bread. Assemble the sandwiches by placing 3 slices of turkey on each of 4 buttered bread slices, followed by fanned-out slices of pear and 2 or 3 slices of gouda. Scatter arugula on top. Season generously with black pepper, and top each with a bread slice.
      2. Cook on medium heat in a nonstick pan, turning every few minutes to keep each side evenly toasting. Remove from heat when the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
Tia’s Tip: Generously spreading the bread with Country Crock imparts a wonderfully buttery, toasty flavor.
