Ingredients

Dip
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons Country Crock® Original Spread Original Spread
  • 3 large sweet onions, sliced (about 8 cups)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 6 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce

Instructions

Dip
  1. Melt 2 tablespoons Country Crock Spread in large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add onions and salt and cook stirring frequently, until onions are very tender and deep golden brown, about 25 minutes. (Adjust heat as needed to maintain a slow simmer and add additional Spread if skillet becomes to dry.) Add garlic and cook 2 minutes. Remove from heat and cool.
  2. When onions are cool enough to handle, coarsely chop.
  3. In large bowl, combine sour cream, cream cheese, Worcestershire, onion powder and soy sauce and mix until smooth. Gently stir in onions.
  4. Refrigerate dip and let stand at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to develop. Serve Dip with Buttery Toast Points.
Buttery Toast Points
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cut crust from bread slices.
  2. Arrange bread slices on baking sheet and brush with melted Country Crock Spread.
  3. Bake 6 minutes or until light golden. Remove from oven and cool. Cut each bread slice into 4 triangles.
