  • 8 ounces cellentani pasta or your favorite pasta
  • 2 tablespoons Country Crock® Plant Butter with Olive Oil Tub
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 1/2 cups skim milk
  • 1 1/2 cups reduced fat cheddar cheese *

  1. Cook pasta in large pot according to package directions; drain and keep warm.
  2. Meanwhile, melt Country Crock® Plant Butter over medium heat in large saucepan. Add onion and cook until tender, about 4 minutes. Stir in flour and mustard and cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute. Stir in milk and bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring frequently.
  3. Reduce heat and cook until thickened, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes. Stir in cheese until melted; remove from heat. Toss pasta with sauce and serve.
*Replace 1/2 cup cheddar cheese with 1/2 cup smoked cheddar or smoked Gouda for a rich and smokey flavor. TIP: Want to get more good fats into your diet? Sprinkle servings with this delicious crunchy topping. Melt 2 tablespoons Country Crock® Plant Butter with Olive Oil Tub in large nonstick skillet over medium heat and cook 1/2 cup fresh whole grain bread crumbs, 1/3 cup chopped walnuts and 1 clove crushed garlic over medium heat, stirring, until toasted, about 5 minutes. Stir in 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley and 2 tablespoons flax seeds. Sprinkle over Creamy Mac & Cheese before serving.
