Ingredients

  • 8 oz tub pasta (ziti, penne or rigatoni)
  • 1/4 cup Country Crock Calcium Spread
  • 2 cups broccoli
  • 5 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese block
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water. Drain and add back to the pot.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, steam the broccoli florets until tender-crisp. You can steam them in the microwave or on the stovetop. Drain and set aside.
  3. To the cooked pasta, add the steamed broccoli, crumbled bacon, Country Crock Calcium Spread, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, mayonnaise, sliced green onions.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add a tablespoon or 2 of pasta water until saucy.
  5. Serve warm and garnish with extra shredded cheddar cheese and sliced green onions, if desired.
While this Broccoli and Bacon Pasta recipe is downright delicious on its own, you can also add grilled chicken to the pasta to make it a truly satisfying meal.
