Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Country Crock® Original Spread, melted plus 2 tablespoons Original Spread
  • 3 cups crumbled cornbread
  • 1 pound loaf white bread, cut into ½-inch cubes (10 to 12 cups), stale
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons dried sage
  • 1 tablespoon dried poultry seasoning
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup fresh Italian parsley, chopped
  • 2 1/2 cups chicken stock
  • 2 large eggs, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a large baking dish with 1 tablespoon of Country Crock Original Spread.
  2. Place the crumbled cornbread, cubed white bread, sage and poultry seasoning in a large bowl and set aside.
  3. Melt 1 tablespoon of Country Crock Original Spread in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, celery, salt and pepper. Sauté until the onion is soft, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from the heat.
  4. Add the sautéed vegetables, parsley, chicken stock, melted remaining Country Crock Original Spread and eggs into the bread mixture, stir until well combined. Pour the dressing into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven until the dressing starts to turn golden brown, about 30 minutes.
  6. Serve and enjoy.
